To find the distance between points
(x1, y1) and (x2, y2), use:








Note that you may do x1-x2 and y1-y2
instead of x2-x1 and y2-y1, if you prefer.
Example:

Q: To the nearest tenth, what is the distance between the points (-6,2) and (6,5)?

Answer:  12.4  (Use the formula for distance between two points, at the left.)
