Example

Q: Find the amplitude, period, shifts, and reflections for the function:

Solution:

Run TRIGGRAP.  How?

Choose 2 for 'cos(x)'

Enter these values:
A = 2, B = 3,
C = -π, D = 4

The program reports
amplitude and period
information.
Press ENTER for more.

The program reports
shift information.

Interpretation:
Amplitude = 2
Period = 2π/3
Shift right by about
1.05 (which you need
to recognize is π/3)
Shift up 4
No reflection.
(It will report 'reflect
in x-axis' when
applicable, but does
not report reflections in the y-axis.)
